MacDonald, Donald
Donald MacDonald made bagpipes in Edinburgh from 1806 to 1840. They are very rare these days, but the few sets that have survived show the work of a true professional. Fortunately, one of these sets is owned by Charley Kron of CE Kron Bagpipes who has graciously donated the following pictures. He has studied this bagpipe…..every detail is perfect.

This is my “dream” set of pipes….partly because of the name, but look at the perfection, made on a foot treadle in the early 1800′s!
Dear Island Bagpipe Crew,
what are the holes width of the tenors and the chanter.
Greetings
I do not have this set here to measure, you could try contacting Charley Kron as he owns them.
